The
orchestra was formed in 1999 by Adrian Scharff-Hansen and
steffen Blume.
Salonorkestret is conducted by Inge fabricius.
Inge Fabricius made her debut as a conductor in 1984 with
the Tivoli Symphony Orchestra and she has conducted several
danish and foreign orchestras (Odense Symphony Orchestra,
Århus Symphony Orchestra, Aalborg Symphony Orchestra,
Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra and Malmö Symphony Orchestra).
From 1989 to 1992 she was appointed assistant conductor and
art director in the department for children and young people
at The Gothenburg Opera.
Inge Fabricius has, as a conductor, since 1980 been an active
part of the Danish amateur music community, and since 1992
she has had several freelance engagements at Danish and Swedish
theaters and at the Royal Academy of Opera in Copenhagen.
The orchestration is string quintet, single supplied wind
instruments, piano, guitar, accordion and percussion.
The repertoire is mostly consisting of Danish salon music
by among others Jacob Gade, H. C. Lumbye and Kai Normann Andersen.
A perfect feature at receptions, concerts, congresses and
other festive events.
